At the time, Welsh Gymnastics was set to be on the world stage ahead of the Commonwealth Games, so we began work on their brand so that it reflected their values and professionalism, while showcasing that they’re a modern National Governing Body. This included everything from logo concepts and typefaces, through to colour palettes and brand guidelines. This provided WG with the collateral they required to attend the Commonwealth Games and make the impact they so deserved.
We then moved onto the website – We created a bespoke website design that reflected the new branding and portrayed the image of a leading NGB. We built the new website using WordPress, which offered a scalable and secure solution. The website was designed to be responsive, making it easy to use on desktops, tablets, and mobiles. Accessibility played a large part of the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design, as we sought to make the sport accessible to the widest possible audience.
The build ensured that Welsh Gymnastics were left with a website that they could manage day-to-day. Everything from changing the text and media, through to add and re-ordering blocks on the page was implemented throughout the development phase. This allows WG to keep the website up to date easily, especially the sections to allow users to find a club, event, or course.
