Our team of designers and developers collaborated closely with the British Orthodontic Society (BOS) to craft a tailor-made solution, leveraging WordPress and WooCommerce to build a bespoke website that meets their unique needs. The result is a cutting-edge platform that offers members seamless access to a wealth of invaluable resources. By prioritising a mobile-first approach, we ensured that the website delivers a consistent and user-friendly experience across all devices, from desktops to tablets and mobiles.
To achieve this, we conducted a comprehensive content audit of the old website, meticulously assessing and consolidating existing content to streamline the transition to the new platform. This process involved merging relevant materials and culling outdated or redundant content, optimising the website’s structure and usability. Furthermore, we introduced a dedicated members’ area, providing secure access to exclusive resources such as research papers, conference presentations, and training materials. We also integrated with WooCommerce, to allow users a secure and convenient online shopping experience for BOS’ recommended products.
In addition to these features, we also developed an online museum showcasing thousands of images dating back to 1900, offering a fascinating glimpse into the rich history of orthodontics. With its sleek and intuitive design, coupled with easy navigation, the new website serves as an engaging hub for members and those interested in membership to connect with BOS, stay informed about the latest developments, and actively participate in the vibrant community of orthodontic professionals.
We recognised the importance of equipping the BOS team with the necessary tools and knowledge to maintain the website autonomously, enabling them to efficiently publish new content, update information, and engage with their audience without relying on external assistance.
