St John Cymru is the nation’s leading first aid charity and was established in 1918. They provided the first ambulance service for the people of Wales and supported our nation throughout their existence, from helping soldiers on the battlefields of the First World War to being pitchside as Wales won rugby Grand Slams.
To help celebrate the charity’s centenary year we are currently in the process of designing a microsite which is to be launched on 1 March 2018, St David’s Day. The site adopts the concept, ‘St John Cymru was there’ and documents the selfless work volunteers have delivered in the heart of Welsh communities through 100 insightful stories.
The microsite will also contain news, events, useful marketing resources and the ability for users to get involved through a number of different means: becoming a volunteer, taking on a challenge, engaging via bespoke hashtag #SJCW100 and donating online.
We look forward to launching the microsite shortly and working closely together with St John Cymru Wales at a number of events throughout their centenary year.
